Tokyo Game Show 2006: Death Jr. Headed to the Consoles

Posted on Friday September 22nd, 2006 at 6:06pm by ToddMowatt

The folks from Back Bone Entertainment are scouring the halls of the Tokyo Game Show 2006 and we were able to catch up with them for a minute.

It seems that Death Jr. might be headed to the consoles. Death Jr. for the PSP was a runaway hit and Death Jr. 2 for the PSP will be released soon.

Back Bone isn't talking about which platforms the game will come out for, but they did say next-generation and that can only mean PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii.

As the process of deduction would have it, Nintendo isn't attending the Tokyo Game Show 2006. Microsoft didn't fare to well with Grabbed by the Ghoulies and they sent Tim Schaffer packing with Psychonauts, so that rules out the Xbox 360.

Although I do think it would be cool to be able to control Death Jr. scythe with the new Nintendo Wii controller functionality and a Nintendo DS version with Wi-Fi would also be fun.

We'll keep you posted on Death Jr. info on the consoles as we have several members of the Back Bone team on our speed dial!
