Tokyo Game Show Musings

The Tokyo Game show 2006 is in full swing and before I get to the news of the show I want to get you caught up on the cool things going on in Japan as they pertain to gaming.
Sony has developed vending machines to sell video games and they are set up in malls, subways and in other high traffic areas around Tokyo and the rest of Japan.
The machines offer everything from Sony PSP, PlayStation 2 video games to Sony digital cameras.
Word on the street has it that these same vending machines are on their way over here for a North American launch sometime in the next year!
The games run for between 30,000 Yen about $28 to 60,000 Yen around $55.
We didn't try to buy one, because well after 15-hours in the air and a ton of jet-lag we didn't want to have to shake the machine if it got stuck in the machine!
