On the Road to the Tokyo Game Show 2006

New Excitement. New Sensations. A New Generation

With the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) revamping its format, the Tokyo Game Show is poised to be the premiere gaming tradeshow.

Later this week the eyes of the gaming world will be on the Makuhari Messe and we will be there to report from the show floor on what Nintendo, Sony Computer Entertainment and Microsoft will be talking about.

We have a full-slate of appointments with Sony, but Nintendo and Microsoft are keeping things close to the vest.

This year, the Tokyo Game Show will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary since its launch in 1996. It is also the year in which the latest in computer entertainment, from next generation systems, to home platform software, online games and cell phone applications come together under one roof.

The three-day show will feature a host of revolutionary new titles and hardware, beyond anything even anticipated in the past. This year's theme reflects the vast potential and the impact embodied by the Tokyo Game Show, as a stage for new ideas and technologies.

The TGS is setting itself up as a forum for unveiling the latest in computer entertainment, but also as an opportunity to bring new thrills and gaming recreation to the world.

This year is a pivotal year in gaming as the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 will go head to head later this year. There are some question marks as to what games will be available for those systems and the Tokyo Game Show should answer some of those questions.
