Nintendo Wii Top 10 Most Wanted Games

Posted on Sunday September 17th, 2006 at 8:08pm by ToddMowatt

It’s almost showtime for another Nintendo console and we’ll give you the insight intot he games you will be playing

Are you ready for the Nintendo Wii?

Nintendo and its third party partners are locked and loaded and are ready to deliver new gaming experiences on the Nintendo Wii.

1.) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess--Nintendo
Sequel to a popular series of action / RPGs.
Shoot arrows! Fish in a boat! Wield the Master Sword! Do it all in a way that's physically believable. Even if you've never gotten in to this whole "Zelda thing," you'd be doing yourself a disservice to miss this game. Unless you hate having a lot of fun when you play video games, then you might want to steer clear of this game!

2.) Super Mario Galaxy--Nintendo
Shigeru Miyamato flings Mario into space while flipping the platformer genre on its head. That about sums it up. You use the Wii-mote's pointer to bounce Mario around in outer space. Weird? Yes. Awesome? Most definitely!

3.) Super Smash Bros. Brawl--Nintendo
Nintendo fans favorite brawler is back and it is loaded with a large assortment of signature characters (and their friends) once again pounding one another into oblivion. Name another game where Pikachu and Princess Peach can fight Solid Snake and a Nintendog to the death? Your local video game retailer is taking pre-orders now.

4.) WarioWare: Smooth Moves--Nintendo
A slew of ridiculous and haphazardly strung together mini-games await you with this tile. WarioWare is equal parts manic and insane on every console it's been released on. With the numerous gameplay possibilities offered by the Wii-mote, WarioWare: Smooth Moves might be the purest form of fun known to Wii owners.

5.) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption--Nintendo
The final installment in the Metroid Prime trilogy
Samus Aran was up for a good time on the GameCube, but early indications are that she's up for a lot more fun on the Wii. The Wii-mote/Nunchuck combo looks like it's going to be great for first person shooters.

6.) Red Steel--Ubisoft
A Wii-exclusive title set in the Japanese underworld
What if I were to tell you there's a Wii game coming out with realistic swordplay, Yakuza, and lots of sideways gun shooting. Would that be something you'd be interested in?

7) Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers—Square-Enix
The sequel to the only Final Fantasy title released for the GameCube
The first game was a blast, offering one of the best multiplayer RPG experiences on any console, ever. Even if Crystal Bearers wasn't so promising, its solitude as a Wii RPG earns it extra points.

8) Splinter Cell: Double Agent--Ubisoft
A port of the PS2/Gamecube Splinter Cell: DA, with niftier controls and shinier graphics and an incredibly unique presentation of Sam Fisher.
The latest Ubisoft action adventure title looks good, even without the Wii-perks, but Wii-mote lock picking? That alone is worth at least the 8th spot.

9) Madden 07—EA Sports
A port of Madden 07 for the PS2/GameCube with niftier controls
The most popular sports title in North America gets Wii-ified. Make a passing motion to pass, pull the controller back to hike the ball, shove the controller to bowl over a defender -- it might not be any good, but it will definitely be interesting.

10.) Battalion Wars 2--Nintendo
A good-looking sequel to a not-so-good game
The original Battalion Wars could have been great, but it suffered from bad controls and murky game play. BW2 looks to fix both problems and bring along wireless LAN multiplayer as the icing on its proverbial cake. Yum.
